Weaving cosmic threads...

The image shows a working, cultivated landscape. The dry-channel discovery and unequal water allocation belong to the story proposal, rather than facts proved by the painting.
EXPERIMENTAL / Place concept / A cultivated wilderness
Fruit trees grow above the thunderclouds. Across the ridge, a carefully maintained channel has been dry for three years.
The first view begins inside a garden. Fruit, pruning, irrigation and hands establish ordinary scale before the vista opens into ridges, bridges and thundercloud. Every inhabited platform attaches to bedrock. This avoids using floating islands as an automatic substitute for wonder.
Working gardens lead to narrow aqueducts above thundercloud. Every terrace attaches to bedrock; exposed crossings and protected collector interiors offer different risks.
Rebalancing water helps deprived terraces but costs the richest gardens yield. Ask who owns the crop and who is paid only when it is harvested.
