The image establishes a distinctive colonial body plan, translucency and a lifted cover. Its freshwater, rooted, giant biology is fantasy extrapolation from marine colonial organisms; anatomical function and twenty-metre scale remain proposals. The upper organ is treated as a supported reservoir; it must not be modeled as providing buoyancy while above water.

A luminous colonial animal has outgrown a seed vault. Break its feeding network, protect the nursery and defeat a threat that has no single head to cut off.
Small colonies once consumed dead roots in the archive's drainage pools. Salt intrusion killed a whole root terrace and produced a sudden nutrient pulse. The surviving colony grew into the abandoned space, then extended its feeding ribbons into living roots and stored nursery feed.
The keepers call it the tree's second soul. That poetic explanation delayed action: cutting a feeding stem was treated as an attack on the forest itself. The archive record instead shows a colony with specialized feeding, defensive and fluid-storage structures. It can be studied, contained and fought.
Othrek's opened saline bypass accelerated the root damage. His responsibility does not remove the immediate danger: the Hunger has begun pulling sluice covers aside to reach new food. Stopping the colony and stopping the contaminated inflow are separate objectives.
The archive's drainage bells have gone silent. A heavy stone cover rises without a hand beneath it, suspended by an amber ribbon. In the pool beyond, translucent bells contract one after another along a curved ivory stem. Only then does the entire colony lift into the sun shaft.
Disable the giant colony's feeding network, preserve a viable seed nursery and close the contaminated supply. The fight rewards recognizing specialized parts and coordinating interruptions.
A curved, weight-bearing carbonate keel anchors in submerged roots and supports a translucent fluid reservoir. Repeating bells, feeding ribbons and protective cups have different jobs and visible connections to the same stem. The silhouette has a large central opening; it is not a humanoid hidden inside tentacles.
The colony moves by coordinated contraction, bracing against submerged roots before pulling. The reservoir changes volume slowly; narrow feeding ribbons move quickly. A damaged bell changes the timing of the next section rather than making the whole organism spin or teleport.
Read a sequence across several body parts. A feeding bell contracts before its paired ribbon pulls; a defensive cup opens before it releases the slowing mucous sheet.
Interrupt the three supply stems in the correct order while preserving the clean nursery pool and rescuing the keeper on the lower ledge.
The seed vault survives. Keepers teach a proposed Pulse Reading technique: after observing a repeating mechanism or organism, the character can mark its next opening for allies. It rewards observation and does not reveal unseen enemies.
Two feeding stems alternate their timing while the lower path floods. The cue sequence remains consistent; the party must divide attention and assign roles instead of relying on higher damage.

Bells contract from the upper stem downward before their ribbons sweep the lower path. Cross during the pause at the final bell, cut the exposed supply sheath and retreat to a dry root buttress. A small harmless colony near the entrance teaches the same sequence first.
