dungeon / The frontier is not the prison / Worldbuilding concept
A siege working on Shadowfen’s exterior is destroying the only bridge used by frontier evacuees. Its duelist is buying time to complete a local interdiction; the operation neither enters nor opens Malachar’s prison.
Successive road crews built the causeway to keep frontier traffic above seasonal floods. A Void Ascendant campaign now seeks to isolate those settlements by sea and land. Its operators use existing Shadow-tainted material in a bounded exterior siege construction. This collection introduces no change to Malachar’s sealed condition, reach or canonical history.
A root-lined ravine divides two ordinary frontier roads above black water. The severed causeway, six basalt anchor weights and unreachable opposite fissure establish the encounter’s limited geography. The canonical prison and the Source Gate remain offscreen and outside all traversal.
Establish convoy shelters, cross damaged spans on anchored lines and unload the working’s basalt weights in a sequence learned from visible tension. The finale concerns the bridge and the convoy. Pursuing the fleeing enemy beyond the exterior route is unavailable; there is no reward for approaching the canonical seal.
Frontier travellers say a road exists wherever the next household agrees to receive you.
The siege operators call isolation a proof that a settlement was never worth saving.
The anchor lines, supply records and surviving flood survey explain the local interdiction.
No myth here discloses Malachar’s prison, changes his sealed condition or establishes a new cosmic truth.
